A winner has been chosen for the Postcards from 2050 competition! The winning student’s school will be notified at the start of the new school term in September.
“Postcards from 2050 is a great initiative which encourages
young people to discover how climate change will impact their
lives. Climate change is not only an issue which shapes the here
and now but also how we live our lives in future generations.
Young people have an important role to play in moving the UK to
a low carbon world and we must ensure our education system
provides them with the right skills, knowledge and training to
create a cleaner and greener Britain.” Joan Ruddock MP
A huge thank you to all the schools that took part in the competition, we received hundreds of fantastic, imaginative and thought-provoking postcards.
The winning student has won a tour of the Houses of Parliament for their class and an iPod Touch for them!

The primary entitled “The Garbage Monster and other stories and poems” and the secondary; “The Escape of Hanna Schmidt and other stories and poems” (available in bookshops at £3.99, with all profits donated to the World Book Day Charity).
